WHMIS Training

As per the Alberta Occupational Health and Safety Code, any worker who works with or near hazardous products must be trained in the Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS). As of June 2015 in Alberta, workers must be trained in the new WHMIS 2015 (otherwise known as the Globally Harmonized System) standard.

We provide generic training in 2015 WHMIS based on the Alberta Construction Safety Association's training standard. This includes training on hazard classification, use of labels, symbols and Safety Data Sheets. Training is provided by an ACSA-certified WHMIS Trainer. We also provide information as to the requirements for site-specific WHMIS training that must be conducted by the employer.

At KC Solutions we recognize that it isn't always feasible for a small business workforce to take time off during the week to complete necessary training. To provide our clients with the best possible service, we offer training schedules on your terms. We will come to your home or office and provide training when it is convenient for you - including evenings and weekends.

Training takes approximately 1.5 - 2 hours. Recertification is not required by law, but may be required by your employer.

All participants receive a training booklet and certification card upon completion of their training.
